| | Senior Member | I am tired of the Cup's name. It implies that Tennessee routinely leads the nation in off-field problems, yet we've never won the Cup since it was created. The idea as a whole is a humorous imaginary booby prize that you don't want to win. It's getting annoying that UT is still associated with its name, just because of the 2005 offseason.
The existence of the term "Fulmer Cup" can't be good for recruiting. |

You rarely see many suspensions longer than 4 games with how long a football season is. |

When Team ABC wins it in five years, and people ask who Fulmer is, someone will run to Google and discover it's the former Tennessee coach and immediately form an opinion of our program. |

I understand you have to discipline your guys for various incidents, but lets be honest, the majority of SEC schools will not hand you a 4 game suspension for spiked brownies. It can frustrating at times to see CMR putting the team at a disadvantage at times.
That doesn't mean that the serious offenders should be able to get away with serious incidents. You pull a Crowell or a Mettenberger, then you need to be dealt with.
The Rambo and Ogletree drug test was right after Spring break. College kids and weed happen in every program during Spring break. We just seem to be the only program testing for it. |
