| I don't see how they have any ratings when he is on. I listen to Mike and Mike everyday and for some reason he was filling in the other day so I found something else to listen to. I can't stand him. He is not the only one at ESPN that needs to be canned but IMO he is by far the worst. |

It's like Glenn Beck's old show on Fox. Since it wasn't an actual news program (despite many viewers thinking it was) he could lie and make outlandish claims all he wanted and be safe. Skip does his job very well.
Make people hate me and watch. Lose occasionally so people watch.
Why fire someone who makes your network money when he's just playing a character to begin with? Let's fire Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert for making jokes basically. (even though their news is actually... fairly accurate and reaches a massive audience, but still my point.) | It's ok to make jokes and to state outlandish opinions.
It's not ok for station employees to back up their points by lying.
It's beyond me at this point why anyone gives a show that includes Skip Bayless the time of day. |

| rofl! I guess i am in the minority because i love listening to skip. He is ESPN's version of comedy central. I think some of you guys are taking it a little too serious. The whole show is opinion based and the simple solution to not seeing skip is to change the channel lol. And ftr, the other poster nailed it on the head because i would never watch that show if skip wasn't on it. Posted via VolNation Mobile |

I just would have trouble taking anything Skip says seriously when I now know he's not above making stuff up to support his argument. His lack of credibility makes him unwatchable, to me, and if he's the only one on the show who's entertaining, then that show is sinking. |

They hold themselves out as a (sports) news outlet by airing shows like SportsCenter, E:60, and Outside the Lines. There's unfortunately going to be some bias, because they're in business with a lot of the material they're reporting on.
Anyhow, on the above three shows, I expect the anchors and reporters to give us the facts. The opinions come from the subject-matter experts or athletes or coaches who are introduced by the anchors.
On the banter shows like PTI and Around The Horn, those guys are free to state their own opinions. That's what makes the shows entertaining. But, they shouldn't just make stuff up.
If Skip wants to make stuff up and still claim to be authentic, a lot of the shows on truTV would be a better fit. |
