| Freeze should be ahead of Dooley. He's done more in one year of FBS coaching than Dooley has in five.
My list:
1) Saban
2) Spurrier
3) Miles
4) Richt
5) Chizik
6) Pinkel
7) Mullen
8) Franklin
9) Sumlin
10) Muschamp
11) Freeze
12 A/B) Dooley and Phillips
14) Johnson

He has no credible reason to be ahead of Dooley. Dooley's decent recruiting puts him out of the cellar. |

He was knee deep in the Oher deal

Hardware? What do you call six SEC Championships? In my opinion the SEC Championship Football Trophy is the best championship trophy on the planet.

The list is done by professionals and it is accurate. | You are mostly correct, but more specifically, it's not about the best program that is where most go wrong on this topic.
Bama easily has the best program right now in the SEC followed by LSU, and that is largely because of the their coaches. USC under Spurrier is an up and coming program in the SEC, but not the best.
Spurrier is the best coach in the SEC, Saban is the head coach at a program that is currently the best program in the SEC. There is a difference. |
