I actually remember this kid. He was never really worth much on the field, so we dodged a bullet there.

Scholly money used to start drug business?

A former Vol (Preston Tillman Bailey, III --who remembers him?) from 2009, now at MTSU, said he used his scholarship money to start a drug business http://http://www.dnj.com/article/20...lueRaiders.com

Perhaps someone closer to the scene can explain how he would have the money. I thought they just give athletes the scholarship, not the money for it.

Sorry. Day late, dollar short, didn't spot the original post. Still have the question though.

Ain't that the truth. And if it doesn't have that in the title, I GUARANTEE you it will be thoroughly covered in the body of the article.

Its in check form but payable to student. So if they choose not to use it then oh well.

Yeah he left when Kiffin came in because all indications were that he knew as long as he became upperclassmen he would play under Fulmer. With Kiffin if competition and hard work resulted in playing time then Bailey was wasting his time.

Seems like an unecessary step in the process and one that, in this case, led to problems. Oh well. Thanks for the info.
