If GA fires Richt they will have a hard time finding a replacement, and will have several issues holding their recruiting class together.

That being said, Richt will not last much longer in the SEC unless he beefs up his staff and hires a new OC.

I'm not so sure about that, the fertile recruiting grounds and stellar facilities of GA would be pretty attractive to several candidates I woud think.

I'm all for it. We don't need everyone upgrading their staff.

If UGA fires Richt and Texas continues playing .500 ball, imagine how much leverage Muschamp will have.

Georgia, please keep Mark Richt as long as possible. It would be a huge, terrible mistake to let him go. He's a great coach.

Muschamp's defense has been so dominant this year, wonder if his light has dimmed as such a hot item for head coach? If he can't be better with the talent Texas has, he would be in a world of hurt somewhere else.

I'm perfectly content with Richt staying in charge, but if they fire him to hire Muschamp, I'd be ecstatic.

Texas is 5th in Total Defense (2nd Pass D, 28th Run D).

Muschamp's leverage would be with Texas, to try and move Brown out the door, not with UGA.

That would be too good to be true.

not sure why you guys are convinced muschamp will be a failure. he's consistantly been a good coach and motivator every place he's been.

He's overrated IMO. He'll probably be successful at Texas just because they get the cream of the crop ever year.

If it works that way, it also makes him more expensive to UGA.
