You have some good coaches on there, but number 1 certainly isn't a coach who pumped his players full of steroids and couldn't win anything until Switzer quit.

I don't think its possible to compare coaches (or programs) that are separated in history by 40, 50, and 60 years.

I wonder how many times Neyland will be listed ahead of Bryant...Just because Neyland beat Bryant when he was at UK doesn't make Neyland the better head coach. Bryant's only competition for #1 should be Knute Rockne

Neyland DID go 5-0-2 against Bryant. That should be worth something. Not saying that Neyland is the better of the two, just saying that facing Bryant seven times and finishing with a 5-0-2 record in those games carries a bit of weight.

Not really. It was Neyland in his prime v. Bryant with his first team as a brand new head coach. If Neyland coached against a Bryant-led Bama team, things wouldn't be lopsided like that
