| Bama's McElroy must be the luckiest guy alive How this guy has gone as a starter in high school and college without losing a game simply amazes me. I am watching the replay of last years BCS national championship game and he really sucked at times during that game. He also never impressed me throughout the season. He is so inconsistent and seems really inaccurate for the most part. I might be missing something with this kid, but I just don't think he is that good. If it wasn't for Ingram and Richardson and Bama's defense, no way they would have gone undefeated and this guy would be the starting QB. If someone can shed some light that would be great. All Bammer posters opinions are welcome as well. |

| | Just blame the flu | He doesn't have to be great, just has to manage the game and not turn the ball over. The supporting cast he has doesn't hurt any either. That being said, we'll never know for sure but the way Texas come out on that opening drive with McCoy, I think if he would have manned up and finished the game that Texas would have come out of that game with a W. I usually cheer for SEC schools in bowl games I just couldn't bring myself to do it with Alabama. |

Gilbert was a fumbling interception machine in that game.
BTW, I am still watching the game. Ingram and Richardson are still dominating, and McElroy is still sucking. Amazing! |

If you have all the other elements in place that Bama has, then he has what it takes to win. |

It just happened sooner rather than later. |

He's healthy for the upcoming season. |

Rex Grossman made more spilt second just b4 his arse got creamed than any QB I ever saw.

It was kind of like playing a video game. Right as you left your feet to rock the guy's world he got rid of it just in time. |

| McElroy is a perfect fit for what Bama asks their QBs to do, and he's a winner.
No need to hate on the kid. |

| He seems like a great kid. He probably isn't the best guy on the field, but he also probably knows this - he uses what he can to get the job done - wouldn't mind seeing him in orange.
