however, I do have a problem with the post that I quoted. Yes we played Cal two times and got beat both times. Cal was a very good team and thumped us good in 2003. That was the year we were good. We have been in this streak of 4-5 loss seasons that hopefully will end soon and we played Cal right in the middle of it, so your statement on "back when we were good" was not entirely accurate. And to say neither game was particularly close is wrong too. The '03 game was a blowout in their stadium, but the '04 game was very close. We feel we could have won that game. We ended up only losing by 9 points I believe, and because it was a close game and on national tv, texas was able to pass them in the BCS standings and take the Rose Bowl, leaving Cal with the Holiday Bowl.

As I said, we hope this will be our year (win or lose in Knoxville) that we climb the latter back to where we were at the beginning of this decade. I will be at Ole Rocky Top come September and hope to watch a good hard fought close game.
