Nashville will probably lose the Sounds in that timeframe due to a blown opportunity on the riverfront stadium deal (blown on the part of the Sounds and their development partner, not the city). When I was a kid people always talked about Nashville getting an MLB franchise. Of course, Sounds attendance was through the roof back then and there were no Titans in town. If I recall, Nashville was on the short list of 4-6 cities when the Marlins and Rockies franchises were awarded. After that, I think former Sounds owner Larry Schmittou pretty much gave up. If the Preds do leave,I wonder if Nashville might get back on the MLB watch list in a few years?
