They say that his game translates over pretty nicely to clay because his serve kicks up even higher, and the higher bounce on the ball gives him more time to get to balls.
In other words, he can win on clay, but he can't win on Clay by grinding it out. The higher bounce will put the ball in his wheelhouse, and he has to go for -- and convert -- winners of his groundstrokes.
