Brian Williams was supposed to fill this void, but let's face it, his development has been slow at best. We need a player that is big, physical down low, and can give us a presence underneath. Playing 4 guards and living and dying by the three is not going to win many championships IMO.
We lost a lot of physicality with Ramar, Tabb and Crews. They may not be role models, but they played tough. I think Kenny Hall will as well. But most of the players out there (Hopson, Tatum, Chism, Woolridge) are not known for defense or tenacity.
