So technically the coaches aren't lying about this kid being 3rd on the list because they are only going to get two of the guys in the top 3. If Scroggins goes to USC, we will get Rettig. JMO.
If the coaches do see something they don't like in Rettig, that likely has nothing to do with Scroggins, but I don't think that's the case. They've pretty much told him he has an offer depending on where Jesse goes. | Sab,don't take this the wrong way, but does anyone here 'really know' what the coaches have told any recruit?
