I've never understood the argument that he wouldn't coach in college because college kids couldn't understand the complexity of his schemes.
Certainly, I could understand the reverse...it would obviously be tough for a college coach with a basic scheme to complicate his playbook to meet the standards of the NFL...but, it's not as if Gruden can't dumb things down a little bit to help college kids understand it.
It might be tough for an algebra professor to teach calculus, but I imagine a calculus professor could explain algebra. Maybe that's not the best analogy, but you probably get the point.
