Since when does footwork equal talent?
Throwing the ball to the other team doesn't equal bad talent either, does it? It just means he makes bad decisions which would fall in the category of maturity.
I never said Crompton wasn't better than the other two, just that the "talent" drop off isn't as significant as you are making it.
