A local dealer, Rons Ford sponsored Nelson Stacy for Holman/Moody for several years, and East Tenn. Ford of Knox. also sonsored a car.
Atwood showed he had the potential to be very good. I think he was put into Cup too soon. I remember he sat
on the pole at Nashville for one of the last BGN races at the old track.
