Johnny Majors and Bear Bryant -- 82 Tennessee Alabama

I had to check my unofficial Tennessee Vols Football Schedule this afternoon, just to be sure it really is Bama week. Let’s see, the game after Mississippi State but before South Carolina — ok then, it is in fact, Alabama week.
So why doesn’t it feel like Alabama [...]

Florida lowered the boom on Saturday. Once and for all, college football fans got the answer to the question: “Where does this football team stand?” Speaking of answers, they were delivered in short order. The UT football team had few answers for the speedy attack of Florida’s special teams. UT was put away in the first ten minutes of the game. Phil Fulmer had his own answers, as he took responsibility for the loss. Volunteer fans offered their reply to the sloppy play by letting their feet do the talking, as if to say the time for talking is finished.

The countdown to kickoff continues, and along with that comes a warning to the Volnation. Prepare yourself for an earful of prognostications declaring Georgia and Florida the heirs to the SEC throne for the upcoming football season. Yes we have seen and heard it all before. It seems eerily similar to the hype surrounding both of those programs last year. Meanwhile, in Knoxville, UT is quietly toiling away….installing a new offense and propping the confidence of a defensive front seven which was a very shaky unit last year.
