I left work early last Monday morning, and after failing to find anything appealing on FM radio, I begrudgingly tuned into The Herd on ESPN Radio for my ride home.
With the fanatic Florida faithful, the bruised bodies, the hot collared coaches, the blood and sweat soaked floor and the knocked out tooth, it could only mean one thing. The Tennessee Vols were in town.
The Alabama Crimson Tide doused the flames of the No. 8 ranked Tennessee Vols 8 game winning streak Saturday evening. It was a hard to game to watch if you were a Vol fan. Both teams took the court wearing their throwback jerseys, but Tennessee might want to throw back the throwbacks after last night.
The Tennessee Vols (18-3, 9-1) had Georgia (14-9, 4-6) on their minds Saturday night, but instead of Ray Charles leading the band, Chris Lofton took the microphone, stepped into the spotlight and stole the show.
