Apparently not. The “Eric Berry on offense” discussions continue to rage on the VolNation message boards and throughout the media heading into this weekends matchup.
For the third time this week, Eric Berry headlines a VolNation blog. On Monday, I gave you 5 reasons Berry will see the ball more against Alabama. Then on Wednesday, we found out about a meeting between Berry and receivers coach Latrell Scott. In this post, Eric Berry answers questions about his potential role with the offense.
In the interview, Berry isn’t giving many clues about the Vols game plan, but he admits to practicing punt and kickoff returns. Getting him the ball in the return game could be the easiest way to create opportunities for the playmaker.
You can draw your own conclusions, but it’s clear that Eric would love the opportunity to play offense. There is a gleam in his eye when he says, “I just like that side of the football”.
