As I watched South Florida add Auburn to their growing list of victims, I thought about who the ascending teams in college hoops will be this season. Here are the 6 that came to mind.
The first two weeks of the college football season has delivered a mixed bag of results for SEC teams, and left us with more questions than answers. In fact there are really only two things that I know for sure at this point.
Now that we are all over last week’s defensive no-show against California in Berkeley (wait…..Cal just scored again), here are five things to mull over in preparation for Southern Miss.
Sitting in the San Francisco Airport after spending a day wondering which defensive performance was worse, Saturday night’s debacle or the 1988 annihilation at the hands of Washington State, I reviewed the last couple of weeks worth of college hoops happenings. Here are six that caught my eye:
Well we’re off and running, the 2007 college football season has kicked off. We had a wonderful weekend of college football featuring massive blowouts, doses of reality for historic programs and unlikely upsets. Oklahoma scored 79 points its first time out, without Adrian Peterson and now prepare for a visit from the U. Texas will not walk through the Big 12.
I woke up this morning, and I gave the calendar a second glance. Yep, it was still September 2, 2007. It just feels like September 16. If I could throw a few banana peels in the flux capacitor and fire the up the ole Delorean I would go all the way back to August when there was the promise of a new day
Trailing 38-21 early in the third quarter Arian Foster broke free down the left side of the field to the California 2 yard line. After one run for no gain and an incomplete pass, UT faced third and goal from the 2. The Vols took a time out after Lucas Taylor gained one on a quarterback draw.
