I know, it’s football season but I thought the basketball team heading off to Europe was news worthy. Here are coach Pearl’s comments before heading out.
In his latest article, Program Pecking Order, Stewart Mandel put the Vols among the nations elite programs while at the same time took some pretty cutting shots at the Georgia Bulldogs. I can respect that, can’t you?
Coach Fulmer’s comments:
‘LaMarcus Coker has been suspended indefinitely from the Tennessee football team.’
With temperatures comparable to the surface of the sun throughout the Southeast and CSTV’s riveting wall to wall coverage of C-USA Media Days, it’s easy to overlook college hoops. To quench everyone’s thirst for hoops, here’s a six pack of issues to think about during the dog days of summer.
SEC media days have come and gone, UT’s media days are over and fall practice is in full swing. That means that the message boards are heating up. As a frequent poster, I thought it would be fun to hand out some of my “Guitar Shots To The Head” to topics and posters that deserve notice.
I know it’s early, but you can’t start getting ready for the Gators early enough. That said, in the spirit of rivalry, I’ve agreed to do a blog swap with a Florida Gator blog named Saurian Sagacity for the September 15th game in Gainesville.
Tennessee released the official 2007-2008 full basketball schedule today. I know some had been waiting for this all week so I thought I would go ahead and post it.
The coaches always have a lot to say this time of year. They are excited about the new season and can’t wait to get to work on all of the plans and ideas they’ve had during the summer.
Here is the audio from Coach Fulmer’s comments during the media day Saturday morning. It’s about 20 minutes long. He breaks down the outlook of the team and his thoughts on the newcomers position by position.
