ForumsTennessee’s lone senior Craig Cobb got the call for Thursday’s game against the Ole Miss Rebels but his night was short lived. Cobb gave up 5 runs and was pulled with one out in the first inning. The Vols were in a hole they never could climb out of.
Lance McClain came on and did a nice job keeping the Rebels in check. He pitched the final 7.2 innings for Tennessee and held Ole Miss to a single run.
The only offense the Vols could muster was a 3-run home run by Tony Delmonico in the 6th. Tennessee loaded the bases in the 7th but was unable to score and Ole Miss held on for a 6-3 victory.
Next up will be a rematch with Vanderbilt tonight at 7:30 in an elimination game.
Ever heard of Houndstooth Condominiums? I’ll give you a hint. They are within walking distance of Bryant-Denny stadium, close enough to “spit on Fulmer”. I don’t know if the ads are all still up but um, well I’m really not sure what to say.
