Last week, it was announced that Candace Parker will be on the cover of a commemorative issue of Sports Illustrated celebrating the Lady Vols 7th National Championship. The issue will be limited to 110,000 copies.
That sparked a great thread by XtennesseeX in our Tennessee Vols Forum about the number of Sports Illustrated Covers that have featured the Vols. I had forgotten about a few of them. Specifically, I didn’t remember the Pat Summitt issue “The Wizard of Knoxville”.
“The Tennessee Waltz” issue featuring Tony Robinson was one of my favorites.
Check them out. Can you think of any that are missing?

Candace Parker is my biggest idol! I am 5 feet 7 inches in the sixth grade, and hope to reach Candace’s height one day! I have played basketball my whole life and find it as a life goal and I will not stop!!!! When I feel like a just can’t do it or score I think of CP and keep going forward.
