Today, the University of Tennessee featured a spotlight article on Lance McClain and the timing couldn’t have been better. The Vols got 8 solid innings from the sophomore and he allowed only one run. The offense plated 5 and Tennessee (2-4) won the series over Eastern Michigan taking 2 out of the 3 games. They played arguably their best baseball of the young season.

Ryan Jones led the offense with two doubles. Ryne Simpson came on in the 9th to get the save.
