Tennessee coach Cuonzo Martin added another commit for the class of 2011 on Thursday when 6-foot-5 swingman Quinton Chievous from Niles, IL chose the Vols, sources say.

During his senior season, Chievous averaged 21 points and 10 rebounds for the Saint Louis Dons.

“Quinton was our best player last year,” Notre Dame coach Tom Les told ESPN earlier this year. “We knew his improvement from his sophomore year to his junior year was huge. I felt if we could get maybe 1/3 of that same improvement from his junior year to senior year, he was going to have an impact year.”

Chievous, a 2-star prospect according to ESPN, picked Tennessee over Saint Louis.

Coincidentally, Quinton’s father, Derrick Cheivous, played at Missouri State from 1984 until 1988.

Discuss the Quinton Chievous commitment.
