Vols dealt No. 9 seed

Despite losing to Florida in the second round of the SEC Tournament on Friday, most believed Tennessee’s (19-14, 8-8 SEC) body of work was good enough to earn a trip to the NCAA Tournament.

The selection committee agreed, as the Vols received a No. 9 seed in the West Region and will face Michigan on Friday.

Tipoff times have not been announced.  

It’s the sixth straight NCAA Tournament appearance for Bruce Pearl since arriving at Tennessee.
